John Nackel

Chief Executive Officer

John Nackel joined Ingenix in October, 2009 as an Executive Vice President and CEO of Ingenix Consulting. John will oversee the largest health care focused consultancy in the U.S., where he will lead the development of data-driven business and technology strategies that help clients improve their clinical and financial performance.

John wrote Cost Management for Hospitals, and received a Book of the Year Award from HIMSS. He has also received two Article of the Year Awards from HIMSS.

Areas of Expertise

In his over 30 years of experience advising health care organizations, entrepreneurs and emergency businesses, John has earned a reputation as one of the industry’s foremost performance improvement experts. Most recently, John was Chairman and CEO of Three-Sixty Advisory Group, LLC, a business accelerator he founded to help emerging health care services and medical technology companies address growth, efficiency and capital challenges. He was the global managing director of Health Care Consulting at Ernst & Young. Under his leadership, that division grew to an over $1 billion consulting services business. In addition, John has served managing director of New Ventures, Ernst & Young’s venture capital fund, and as CEO of Sogeti North America, the professional services division of Capgemini.

Professional Organizations

John is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. He is a senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers.

Education

John earned his bachelor’s degree at Tufts University. He earned two master’s degrees from the University of Missouri, one in health administration and the other in industrial engineering. John continued his work at the University of Missouri and earned his Ph.D. in health systems engineering.
